Jeanne Phillips

Jeanne brings a wealth of experience to Herzog Music. She holds a BA in Vocal Music Education and a minor in Piano Performance from Miami University, Oxford. Jeanne has been teaching and performing professionally for many years. From Music Hall, Riverbend, and US Bank Arena to local pubs and parks, her talents in vocals and piano are used regularly in Cincinnati’s entertainment world. Many of her students have also gone on to enjoy professional careers in music across the nation. She offers traditional teaching methods for beginners through advanced students of all ages and specializes in classical, jazz, pop, Broadway, Standards, and basic theory and composition.

Sean Geil

Sean Geil is a founding member of Cincinnati's The Tillers, and has spent the last eleven years traveling the country writing songs and performing everywhere from living rooms to major music festivals. Sharing stages with legends like Doc Watson, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, Guy Clark and Del McCoury . Along the way, he's recorded six albums with the band, toured every region of the U.S., and played in the U.K. and Canada.

Zane Thompson

Zane Thompson is a local banjo / multi-instrumentalist for The Old Souls String Band. His focus is predominantly on traditional styles such as clawhammer or 2-finger banjo. For the last 5 years Zane has performed around the region both with a band and by himself. His aim is to spread the knowledge and love that comes with being a musician / banjo player. Students are able to contact Zane with any questions or concerns that may arise in between lessons.

Lauren Eylise

Lauren Eylise staked her spot in the music industry with the release of her EP Life/Death/Life in September 2017. Lauren plays both piano and acoustic guitar, and is a powerhouse vocalist. In 2009, Lauren officially began her professional career as a performer. She has since gone on to open for major artists including Tank, Lloyd, Matt Kearney, Train, John Legend, Yasiin Bey, Erykah Badu and Patti Labelle.

Ed Bullock

Ed Bullock provides bass and guitar lessons at Herzog Music, and is one of our most popular instructors! Get in touch today to meet Ed, and to plan the next steps of your musical journey.

Pete Fosco

Pete Fosco provides lessons in experimental and improvised guitar playing, including unique or unusual tunings, extended techniques and improvisation workshops, exploration of scales and exercises to encourage creative development with any instrument. Pete has a BFA in electronic media studies from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music.

Tim Garner

Tim Garner is a Multi-Instrumentalist composer and performer who specializes in teaching percussion and piano. After graduating Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Commercial Music Production from UC’s College-Conservatory of Music, Tim writes and records as part of the team at Sonic Signatures LLC, and performs at a variety of local venues. He can help sharpen your drumming and keyboard skills, as well as guide you through composition, music theory and songwriting.

Marvin Hawkins

Marvin Hawkins performs frequently with both Fixx Band and Slave, and is now accepting students for drum and percussion lessons. He’s the founder of Group Hum Entertainment, and stays busy on the film festival circuit as well.
