Kids' Jam, Olivia Jean, and Art Show at Herzog This Weekend!
Gearing up for a busy weekend? Join us at Herzog! An already packed weekend comes on the heels of a private Thursday morning visit by Rockabilly guitarist and LIVING LEGEND Deke Dickerson!
Our weekend (and yours?) begins Friday at the Southgate House Revival as we help present a performance by Third Man Records artist Olivia Jean, joined by Leggy and Breaking Glass (OJ, to the left!).
Saturday kicks off at 11a, for a kids’ jam hosted by Auggie and Sean Geil of the Tillers. Don’t miss this Bluegrass/Folk-inflected approach to children’s songs (with a nod to Pete Seeger), for all ages. Free and presented by Eli’s BBQ, The Play Library, and Party Go Round!
The kids’ jam is followed by a noon in-store performance by Nashville’s Haunted Like Human. On their newest EP “Southern Charm,” the duo brings a nuanced contemporary songwriter pop not to be missed, with local songwriter Andrew Fieler joining us.
Then, upstairs - Kenny Dunn’s photo show begins at 1:30p with a barrage of local musical talent in support. Dunn has a long history of documenting local Cincinnati based artists and musicians; he describes his work to capture “the talent, mood and accord that the greater Cincinnati music scene has to offer.” Dunn’s photo compositions will be accompanied by musical performances by Maria Carrelli, 46 Long, Buffalo Wabs & the Price Hill Hustle, The Newbees, and twig & leaf.
Herzog Music continues to strive to be the place to take in quality local and national music artists, all in an historical setting that is uniquely Cincinnati’s. We’ll see you here!
